    About Us

We are following current state and local guidelines when it comes to COVID-19.  If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear your mask but it's always a good idea to travel with one in your pocket wherever you go. We provide hand sanitizer down at the shop and you are always welcome to use that before entering.  Thank you for your cooperation and for visiting Blooming Hill.

Blooming Hill is a tiny “farmlet” owned by Cyndie and Peter Rinek and situated on four acres in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge in Western Loudoun County, Northern Virginia.  It is not only our business but also our home where we welcome visitors to peruse and enjoy our garden gift shop and, most especially, our gardens that highlight our collection of 1000 lavender plants in almost 100 different varieties lovingly tended throughout the property.

While Cyndie’s background stems from writing and a career in retail management, her love for gardening and especially lavender has blossomed over the last twenty-five years, and has led her down the garden path along with Peter, a registered Landscape Architect/Planner, who has been practicing for over thirty years. Together, we have cultivated a garden and craft business that is uniquely us--selling our crafts, plants and artwork at local garden fairs and craft shows for nearly as long.

Although we have lived  here at Blooming Hill since 1994, our shop which we opened in April 2010, offers home grown and gathered lavender products as well as handmade natural wreaths, unique plants and everlastings, USA made statuary along with garden décor collected especially for the garden enthusiast.  Our colonial home, petite English inspired greenhouse and garden-style shop have all been built by Peter, also an accomplished artist, and reflect our modern country style where we love to share our gardens and gardening knowledge, especially when it comes to lavender.

We offer tea and scones and  full tea fare in the form of cream tea events  and full tea events, from time to time out in the gardens.  Always check our calendar of events to stay up to date on when you can drop by or make a reservation for your tea-time event here at Blooming Hill.

    Got Lavender? We do!

Simple abundance is the sweet aroma of lavender along with the rainbow of colorful buds ranging from dark and light purples to pinks to whites.  Blooming Hill Lavender Farm offers visitors a chance to fill their senses and soothe their souls. Come and see the beauty of it all.

Tour the gardens, peruse our shop, walk the field and immerse yourself in lavender.

We love to share our knowledge of lavender and make new friends in the process.  We offer lavender-inspired and infused talks, teas and tours to groups and individuals.   It is the perfect destination for all types of garden enthusiasts and their friends. Contact us for more information.
